Win $1,000 Splendid Gift Card!

If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you know my love for Splendid. They always have something fun going on with contests and giveaways. I'm so excited to enter this one but I'm not sure if I want to share this with you because I want to win, too! ;)

Splendid is doing a Coast to Coast photo contest- show off what represents your love for East Coast or West Coast. Of course I had to represent West Coast with my outfit. The photo requires Facebook, "like" Splendid's page, and you can enter through your own personal profile (I tried on my blog page, but no luck). The winner gets $1,000 worth of Splendid digs, plus a one on one styling consultation, and you'll be featured on their popular blog.

So help me win? If you want to enter, that's okay, too!  Good luck and may the best coast win! (West Coast, obviously).

Instagram + Splendid LA Giveaway

I'm so excited to announce Splendid LA and our.city.lights teaming up on Instagram to give away $150 Splendid gift card! I still don't know what I'll be spending mine on (I'm waiting for baby's gender so I can go crazy on their baby clothes). This is one of the few companies I truly love and support and I think you should, too. All details are now on my Instagram feed. (sorry for those few readers who don't have an Instagram account, I promise the next giveaway won't be strictly to one outlet!)

Karen Kimmel Dream Catcher Giveaway

I never imagined a craft to be so fun. My idea of crafting is usually a big mess and involves a lot of glue and most of my hair on accident. Karen Kimmel has brought a level of sophistication to crafts and I'm so honored to be a part of it. I was gifted this beautiful dream catcher, naturally I chose pink, but there are so many different colors to choose from in her Etsy shop. The dream catcher is worth $100+ and you can have your own. They are handmade, and the details impressed me. The entry is easy- "like" Karen Kimmel Studios on Facebook (link provided below in Rafflecopter entry) and stay up to date on KKS news. Thank you to Karen Kimmel Studios for supporting my readers! I think you guys will love this. You can check out more photos on Flickr

Instagram Giveaway

For months I was in denial on the popularity of Instagram. I have twice as many followers on Instagram than I do on my blog I've poured into for years. It's easy to post a pic but takes dedication to host a blog. Bloggers, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. So I've come to terms that it's okay. I have no plans to quit blogging, I actually have a few posts lined up, but as a thank you, I'd love to do a giveaway on Instagram. I don't want to alienate people who don't have Instagram (do people not have one? C'mon, my mom has one!) but it's a fun way to connect. Instagram is fun but instant film is more fun! Put down your phone and pick up a camera. Analog, digital, instant, whatever it is, just not your phone. It's so refreshing. If you're not familiar with instant film, I'm also adding in Instant Love. It's a resource book on instant film. It's inspiring and made me wonder why I even put away my camera gear. Find the giveaway here and be sure to read the giveaway rules before entering. Best of luck to you!

Do you remember this recent post? After my Chubby Book arrived from Pinkghost, I loved it so much, I'm asking Danny Brito to autograph a copy for one reader. The book is a collection of Danny's work in postcards attached as pages, and it's a lined book waiting to be filled with your beaming ideas. I'm still not sure what to use mine for, but it does look pretty enough to just display on my bookshelves. The spine is amazing.

She's a sponsor for this giveaway and she's giving away her Imogen ring, a beautiful intricate piece I think readers will love.

Year of the Rabbit with CSN Stores

Sam's Design 1
I love rabbits. Pink ones especially. Having three cats is difficult to have a rabbit, they would terrorize the poor thing. Last year, CSN offered me to shop in their store on their behalf. They had much needed modern duvet covers, stationery and shoes, but after shopping around their site, I decided on the following items:
CSN Bunnies
a Thomas Paul Bunnies Pouch, a USB Flower Hub (I could always use more of these), a Fauna Pink Bunny Pillow, rabbit salt and pepper set. I have used and loved everything, and Fable even made a new friend. Oh, Fable.

Fable and Bunny 2

The store also offers organic based products. My pillow is organic and 100% cotton
CSN Organic Cotton

Now, it's your turn. You can go shopping on CSN, too. The great folks at the company offered a $65 credit to anything in the store. It's overwhelming at first, they have so many different levels of shopping (from luxury to your basics). To enter, fill out the entry form (sorry the giveaway is over. thanks everyone for entering) with your information and I'll choose a winner via random.org next Wednesday. Best to you! Thank you, CSN!

Andrea handmakes the most crafty headgear I've ever seen- a tape measure for a headband. It reminds me of growing up in my grandpa's tailor shop, with streams of tape measures everywhere I walked. If you know a crafter, or if you sew, how perfect is this to show off your craft?

Melissa Chaib Print Giveaway {CLOSED}

I recently ordered a print from Melissa Chaib for my office. It had been a few weeks since it had arrived, and assuming it was lost mail, Melissa happily sent a new order. Three weeks later I received the print. A few weeks after that, another print arrived. I was too impatient for the shipping time (she shipped from Mexico). I had no idea what to do with her print, but with her permission, I thought it'd make a great giveaway. So my impatience is your gain!

Melissa Chaib Print

The giveaway ends November 8. It ends in such a short time because I'll be going out of town and won't be able to ship it after. Thanks for understanding and best to you! GIVEAWAY CLOSED. Thanks for entering if you did!

LUSH {GIVEAWAY CLOSED}

Over the past month, I've slowly began switching my lifestyle to organic/natural/vegan items. I may not give up my leather purses just yet, but I've sacrificed over my whole beauty routine to LUSH. It's one of the only companies I read about that has one of the strongest organic core beliefs to being Earth friendly. You can read about them here.

For years I read about their cult-like classic products but never gave them a try. Why did I wait so long?? Below are my favorite items from my recent purchase.

Vanishing Cream

Vanilla Dee Lite

9to5

Ambrosia

ENZYIOM

Hsuan

I'm loving the Earth, and you, my dear readers, I want to share LUSH with you. I'd love to offer you a chance to try it yourself. How is $50 to the website? They ship internationally, so there are no limitations on the readers around the globe. The only means to enter this giveaway? Since this is strictly a blog giveaway, just be a reader of my blog. Simple, right?

Shabby Apple Giveaway {CLOSED}

Shabby Apple thought I was a good candidate to represent and so grateful they thought I was!

I was given the chance to have one of their amazing dresses. I chose the Traveler. I was a little hesitant to get it, after all the model is skinny (not thin, skinny), has legs for days, and I, well...I have stumps for legs, and have curves I can't hide even if I wanted to.  This dress is great for that- curves. I felt like Joan from Mad Men, only with glasses and felt like I should be shimmying my way through a library again.

Shabby Apple Dress
They are also generous enough to offer one of their Summer dresses from the the Ooh La La collection, the L'Amour green dress. It comes in XXS to XL.

Shabby Apple Giveaway
To enter, it's the usual rules, visit Shabby Apple, and let me know what you would choose for a Summer dress. Leave your name, email (or a link where I can contact you). If you want more chances to win, go ahead and share with this line below on Twitter...

Handmade Writer Giveaway {e-course from Bring Yourself}

Kristina's Testament

This is one of  the powerful testaments from Amy Spencer's Handmade Writer e-course. I've written about Amy before (you can read the full post here) and if you were not able to sign up in the last course, here is your chance!

This is a an online course to grow that inner voice inside of you- to bring it out, to feed it or to simply discover it. Whether it's for blog posts, freelance, or for personal thought use, I believe everyone will benefit from a writer's course.

The course begins on June 28, but Amy has graciously offered to giveaway one spot for her class.

TOENTER

Leave a comment below to tell me why the writing course will benefit your growth.
I'll choose a winner for the giveaway on Sunday June 27 via random.org. It's not about the best answer (although, I'm sure I'll have favorites) , since the winner will be chosen randomly, but I just love the conversation.

Don't forget to visit Amy's influential blog. I've even found writing ideas browsing the archives. Bring Yourself also on twitter and facebook.  Best to you!

Diana Mini Giveaway {CLOSED}

I've given away a Diana Mini Camera before, and I'm so thrilled to do it again. Fredflare.com was so generous to offer readers a new Diana Mini. I know I can't enter my own giveaway, but hot dog, this one is so tempting!

Diana Mini Giveaway thanks to Fred Flare!
Katrina from Pugly Pixel is a great example of how lovely photos are from the Diana Mini.

Diana2
Tavi also has a great interview on her take on the Diana Mini over at Fredflare blog.  What I love about this camera is the film is much less expensive to develop than the regular Diana 120 film.

To enter the giveaway, visit fredflare.com, and let me know what your favorite item is from their shop below in a comment. I know it's hard to choose one, the store is full of goodies.
Feel free to tweet about it, spread the word, but make sure to tell me in a separate comment. The more the merrier (and more entries for you). Best to you!

Also a big hearty thank you to Keith! Seriously, thank you!! You are awesome!!

Dahliaville Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Giveaway

I'm happy to introduce my readers to Dahliaville, the new shop from long time comadre, Anna from Much Love Anna. She's quite the renaissance woman, doing a little bit of everything, and I'm loving her digital cartoons.

My ode to the pin up girl goes far beyond having it tattoed on my forearm. These inspire from the all-American pin up girl with the classic comic book characters (remember Sabrina and Betty from Archie Comics?) What I love about this shop is how tastefully sexy the illustrated women are- with curves! Hooray!

Anna is generously offering one of the shop's print to the lucky reader who wins this giveaway.
To enter the giveaway, simply visit Dahliaville, tell me your favorite print (my personal favorite is the Librarian). If you see a favorite, but want something a little different, they offer custom color changes.

{If you don't want to wait if you win, Dahliaville and Much Love Shop are offering 20% off with discount code "our city lights"}

Sponsor Giveaway: Wild Olive {CLOSED}

Mollie Johanson reminds me a lot of all of us- wanting to turn our hobbies into a business. Mollie runs a successful Etsy shop, and documents her work, the process of running her business, her illustrations, and everything in between at Wild Olive Blog and her etsy shop. She makes working from home look like a craft fair- from drawing, to embroidery, sewing, all kinds of crafty things.
Mollie stays motivated by working- the process is exciting and from those ideas come other ideas.

I've actually purchased from Wild Olive earlier this year and I think it turned out great.

Wild Olive is offering 3 embroidery patterns to readers! You may choose any from Mollie's shop, but here are some of my personal favorites...
